Our Team
The teachers and staff at Two by Two Childcare Academy are talented and devoted educators who provide quality child care to every student. For them, teaching is much more than a job; it’s an opportunity to share their passion for educating as they inspire children to evolve as learners.
Ongoing education is extremely important at Two By Two Childcare Academy. We encourage the pursuit of higher degrees and hold staff development days with courses and workshops throughout the year.
With such a diverse staff, nearly all of our teachers are bilingual – fluent in English and at least one other language, typically Spanish.

Meet Our Team
Ms. Gonzalez graduated from Brooklyn College with a B.A. and M.A. in Early Childhood Education. She holds two certifications: B-Grade 2 and 1-Grade 6. She has been working with children since 1988 and joined Two By Two Childcare Academy in October of 2012.
She loves watching the children develop from infants to preschoolers with the help of the parents and the teaching team. In her free time, Ms. Gonzalez loves to dance, bowl, and socialize. She’s up for just about anything – swimming, handball, billiards, and even rock climbing!
Miss Alicia has her B.A. in Children and the Youth Studies from CUNY Brooklyn College and her M.A. in Early Childhood Education from Ashford University. She has been volunteering with children since 2006 and began her career as an educator with us in 2012.
She loves working at Two By Two Childcare Academy because of the amazing students and co-workers that she gets to interact with on a daily basis. Miss Alicia is quite creative – in her free time, she enjoys drawing, dancing, and coloring. She also spends her time designing rooms, clothing, and crafts. She even creates her own children’s books!

Carmen began her career in the Business Administration and Accounting field, in which she holds her Bachelor’s Degree from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. She has also completed 21 credits in Early Childhood Education from Touro College. Working with children since 1990, it wasn’t until 2013 that she joined our staff.
She loves working at Two By Two Childcare Academy because she really enjoys watching the children develop and knowing that she is helping them succeed. Outside of work, Carmen loves spending time with her family. She also likes to cook, read, and sew.

Ms. Mildred has been working with children for over 25 years. Prior to joining our staff, she worked at the Aguadilla Day Care Center for 13 years. She became a part of our team in 2013 and is currently working in our Apples Room.
She loves the tight-knit community at Two By Two Childcare Academy, in both the staff and the families that we work with. In her free time, she enjoys playing games on her Kindle (especially Panda Pop!), listening and dancing to music, watching movies, and drawing. She loves spending time with her son and daughter and can’t wait to become a grandmother someday!

Angela is a graduate of LaGuardia Community College. She began working at our center in 2014 and has been working in the Bananas Room ever since.
She loves working at Two By Two Childcare Academy because she is able to work with children in a healthy and peaceful environment. In her spare time, she enjoys shopping, dancing, and listening to music. She loves summertime because she gets to go to the nearby parks and beaches with her 11 year old son.
Maritza began working with children in 1979 as a teacher’s aide for Aguadilla Day Care Center. She remained there for 33 years, until the center closed. In 2013, she joined our team and is currently working in the Bananas Room.
One of the things she loves most about Two By Two Childcare Academy is working with like-minded colleagues who lovingly guide and nurture all children. When she’s not working, she enjoys nature, reading, spending time with family, and serving in her parish. She believes in making a difference in someone else’s life, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Ms. Dominique has been working with children since she was a teenager. She has been a teacher in our Grapes Room since she joined our team in 2012.
One of her favorite things about working at Two By Two Childcare Academy is the children. She loves teaching them new things and watching them grow. She likes to spend her free time with her children. She also enjoys reading and photography.

Mrs. Raganda graduated from the University of Albania. When she came to New York, she received her Bachelor’s in Elementary Teaching and her Public School Teaching Certificate. She has worked as an elementary school teacher for over two decades in both Albania and New York. She joined our staff in 2012.
She loves working with her colleagues because they work together to create a better education system for our students. She is constantly looking for new ways of teaching to make learning as fun as possible. Outside of work, Mrs. Raganda likes to cook for and spend time with her family.

Mrs Franklyn has a avid passion for working with children. Currently she is spearheading creative cultivation in the Generations program with 3-4 year old budding scholars. Mrs Franklyn graduated in 2018 from Brooklyn College with her Bachelors Degree in Psychology and an Early Childhood Associate Degree from Kingsborough Community College in 2016. I have many hobbies & interests. I wrote a children’s book called “The Honeydews Jungle”. I also love gardening and exploring the wonders of baking.
Ms Erika has a passion for teaching new generations and inspiring their minds. She has worked with children for over 10 years. She started teaching in an international school in Colombia where she thought 7 years as an elementary and art teacher. She moved to New York in 2012 and worked at an artistic preschool in Brooklyn. Now she is directing and teaching the Generations program at two by two academy. She is a creative, energetic, sociable, and flexible person. She considers herself open-minded with a passion for exploring new ideas in creative environments. She loves to share her life and knowledge with the students that are in her class, and help children explore and develop their interests.

Before joining our team, Fanny attended the Hunter College Nursery Program. Beginning her career with children in 2011, it wasn’t until 2014 that she became a part of our staff. She is currently working with children in the Bananas Room.
When it comes to her job, she loves the overall atmosphere of Two By Two Childcare Academy. Everyone she works with is constantly striving to do better and to improve in any way that they can. Outside of work, her passion is music. She loves attending concerts, playing guitar, and watching any music-related YouTube tutorial she can find!
